Val brings experience in coaching at nearly every level in the Seattle area over the past 25 years.  He began his coaching career at the recreational level and has continued up the ranks at the high school, club and collegiate levels.  Most recently, Val was the Director of Goalkeeping at Sound FC.

At the collegiate level, Val was the Women’s Head Coach at Northwest University.  Under his leadership, the team was nationally ranked in the top 25 every year he coached, made appearances at two conference finals, and won the conference title in 2014 after an undefeated season.  That same year, Val was also named Conference Coach of the Year.

Val played for UCLA and San Jose State University during his collegiate career.  He holds a USSF “B” license, USYS license and NSCAA Goalkeeper license.  He has successfully coached players on to every collegiate level from community college to NAIA to D1.
