Mike Armstrong

Back To Coaching Staff

Mike has been coaching youth soccer for over 15 years, joining Washington Rush in 2018.  Mike grew up in Des Moines, WA.  He attended and was a keeper for the Seattle University Men’s Soccer Team.  He holds his grassroots license.

Some of Mike’s favorite youth soccer memories include winning two WYS State Championships, and winning Far West Regionals and getting to go to Nationals.  He also won a high school state championship with Mt. Rainier High School.  As a coach, he takes pride in watching individual player success moments on the field of all different abilities and not only seeing their confidence grow on the field, but more importantly off the field.

Off the field, Mike is a structural engineer.  When not on the pitch, he enjoys spending time with his family or fly fishing.
