Coach
Coach Stefan brings 15+ years of youth soccer coaching experienceacross recreational, select, premier, and high school levels. A U.S. Soccer National C Licenseholder, he also holds five World Football Academy certifications in tactics, action analysis,fitness, and football braining.
A lifelong athlete from Snohomish, WA, Stefan grew up playing soccer,football, and other sports before graduating from Snohomish High School and earning a degreein Industrial Design from Western Washington University. He works professionally in productdesign and development, but soccer remains a central passion—shared with his twodaughters, both of whom played competitive soccer growing up, including for Washington Rush, with one advancing to play at the college level.
Stefan’s coaching philosophy centers on player development andenjoyment: the game is the teacher, the field is the classroom, the coach is the facilitator, andthe player is the owner. He emphasizes player ownership, encouraging athletes to try to improve by1% every day, play at full speed without fear of making a mistake—instead embracing mistakesand learning from them.
When not coaching, Stefan enjoys paddle boarding in the summer and snowboardingin the winter. He is also a certified ski and snowboard instructor.
